TIKR is a browser-based research terminal for stock investors. It covers financial statements, analyst estimates, valuation multiples, transcripts, filings and fund holdings for listed companies around the world. It is aimed at long-term, fundamentals-first investors, and its pitch is price: institutional data for a fraction of what a terminal costs.
The short version. There is a permanent free plan that covers U.S. stocks only. Paid plans start at $17.95 a month billed annually. The plan you need depends almost entirely on how many years of history and estimates you want. Every figure below was read from TIKR's own pricing page and help centre on 21 October 2026, not from software directories.
TIKR Pricing at a Glance
TIKR has four plans: Free, Plus, Pro and Ultimate. Pro is the one TIKR marks as most popular.
| Plan | Monthly, billed annually | Annual total | Monthly, billed monthly | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | U.S. stocks only, 1 year of analyst estimates, 90 days of transcripts, unlimited watchlists, 1 saved screen, top 40 fund portfolios, top 10 holders |
| Plus | $17.95 | $215.40 | $24.95 | Global data (100,000+ stocks), 10 years and 20 quarters of financials, 2 years of estimates, 1 year of transcripts, 150 fund portfolios, Business Owner Mode |
| Pro | $37.95 | $455.40 | $54.95 | 10 years and 40 quarters of financials in tables, 20 years in charts, 4 years of estimates, revision trends, 10 years of transcripts with audio and slides, 10,000+ fund portfolios, full ownership, management guidance, premium metrics, Excel export |
| Ultimate | $79.95 | $959.40 | $119.95 | 30 years and 40 quarters of financials, 5 years of estimates, full transcript history, custom dashboard, Catalyst Tracker, 50+ extra screening factors, unlimited saved screens and valuation models |
Prices checked on tikr.com/pricing on 21 October 2026. All prices are in U.S. dollars. The annual totals are the monthly annual-billing rate times twelve; TIKR says annual plans are paid upfront and save "~30%" against monthly billing. On these numbers the saving is 28% on Plus, 31% on Pro and 33% on Ultimate. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where the law requires it.
There is no free trial. Instead, new customers get a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans. TIKR's pricing page says it covers "any subscription plan". Its refund article adds a footnote that limits it to new Plus and Pro customers in their first payment cycle, so if you plan to buy Ultimate, confirm with support before relying on the refund. Existing customers do not get refunds. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the paid period ends.
What TIKR Is (and Who It's For)
TIKR is a fundamentals terminal. You search a ticker and get the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and ratios, Wall Street consensus estimates, valuation multiples, price targets, earnings call transcripts, company filings and ownership data. Around that sit a global screener, watchlists with news feeds, a "Track Investing Gurus" tool for fund portfolios, and a valuation model builder.
TIKR says it covers more than 100,000 stocks across 92 countries and 136 exchanges in six regions. It says over 500,000 investors have joined. Its help centre says the platform "focuses exclusively on common equities": there is no data on preferred shares or bonds, and no short interest data.
It suits:
- Long-term stock pickers who want ten or more years of standardized financials without paying terminal prices.
- Investors who research companies outside the U.S. TIKR's global coverage starts at Plus, the cheapest paid tier.
- People who read transcripts and follow what large funds hold.
- Anyone who wants a quick valuation model without building a spreadsheet.
It is a weaker fit for traders, for ETF, fund, bond or macro research, and for anyone who needs data outside the app. More on each below.
TIKR Plans Explained
What the free plan actually gives you
TIKR's free plan needs no credit card and does not expire. Its biggest limit is geography. The free plan is "Data for U.S." only. Global coverage starts at Plus.
Within the U.S., Free includes the screener, news, company filings, key valuation metrics, one year of forward estimates, 90 days of transcripts, the top 10 holders of each company and the portfolios of the top 40 funds. You get unlimited watchlists, one saved screen and one custom news feed. You can also use the Guided version of the valuation model builder.
One number is unclear on TIKR's own page. The plan-comparison table lists Free financial history as five years and eight quarters. The summary card for the same plan says "3 Years Financial History". We could not tell which one is current, so treat Free as three to five years and check inside the app.
Free is enough to learn the interface and to research a handful of U.S. companies. It is not enough to research a non-U.S. company at all.
Plus: the cheapest route to global data
Plus is the step most people should look at first. It unlocks full global data, ten years and twenty quarters of financials and charts, two years of estimates, one year of transcripts, the portfolios of 150 funds, five custom news feeds and Business Owner Mode, which hides prices so you value a business without seeing the market's verdict first. Plus adds the Advanced valuation model, with up to ten saved models, and standard support.
Plus does not include Excel export. You can copy and paste tables instead.
Pro: more history and the full estimates toolkit
Pro adds depth rather than breadth. The headline is longer charts: 20 years of financial charting against 10 years in tables. TIKR's help centre explains the gap. Pro users get 20 years in TIKR's main dataset from S&P Global, but data beyond ten years shows in chart form only. If you switch to the Morningstar dataset, all 20 years appear in the table.
Pro also adds four years of estimates, estimate revision trends, management guidance, premium valuation metrics, full ownership data, holdings for more than 10,000 funds, ten years of transcripts with earnings call audio and slides, transcript keyword search, priority support and direct Excel export.
Ultimate: the deepest history and the extra tools
Ultimate takes financial history and charting to 30 years and estimates to five years, including long-term growth rates. It adds three tools that no other plan has: a custom dashboard that holds unlimited stocks with 300+ column options, a Catalyst Tracker that screens corporate actions across 120+ categories such as M&A, spin-offs, buybacks and activism, and 50+ screening factors exclusive to Ultimate. Saved screens and valuation models are unlimited.
At $959.40 a year, Ultimate costs more than double Pro. It is worth it if you study companies across several full economic cycles or if the Catalyst Tracker fits how you find ideas. For most individual investors, Pro covers the work.
Where TIKR's own pages disagree
Because citing sites copy these numbers, it is worth saying where TIKR contradicts itself. All of these were on TIKR's site on 21 October 2026:
- Free financial history: five years and eight quarters in the comparison table, three years on the plan card.
- Saved screens: the table says 10 on Plus and 30 on Pro. The Plus plan card says 5. A help article says Pro has unlimited saved screens.
- Ultimate transcripts: "Full history" in the table, "15 years" on the plan card and in the help centre.
- Detailed estimates: the pricing table shows Detailed Analyst Estimates, which it describes as including beats and misses and estimate breakdowns, on Plus. The estimates help article says the Estimates Breakdown and Beats & Misses views are exclusive to Pro and Ultimate.
- Refund scope: "any subscription plan" on the pricing page, new Plus and Pro customers only in the refund article.
In our tables we use the plan-comparison table on the pricing page, because it is the most detailed source.
Key Features, Reviewed
Financials and data sources
The financial statements are the core of TIKR. You can drag the timeline to see more years, switch units and click any row to chart it. You can add other tickers to the same chart for comparison. Charts can be exported as images with a custom title, estimates are shaded so you can see where history ends, and you can plot the minimum, median and maximum of any metric across a period.
TIKR names its data sources. It uses S&P Global CapitalIQ and Morningstar as primary partners and Financial Modeling Prep as a secondary dataset. News comes from Reuters. Filings are compiled from the SEC, SEDAR and more than 15 other sources. The Financials tab is GAAP data standardized by CapitalIQ, so line items can be recategorized for comparability across companies. That matters if you check TIKR's numbers against a company's own filing and they do not match line for line.
Analyst estimates
Estimates are consensus averages of contributing Wall Street analysts. You cannot see estimates by individual analyst or bank. You can hover over a figure to see how many analysts contributed. Estimates are adjusted, non-GAAP figures, as sell-side analysts model them, so they will not always line up with the GAAP history in the Financials tab.
The forward window grows with the plan: one year on Free, two on Plus, four on Pro, five on Ultimate. Revision trends, which show whether consensus is moving up or down, start at Pro.
Screener
The global screener filters stocks by region, industry, financials, ratios, growth rates, margins, Wall Street forecasts and valuation multiples. TIKR says it offers more than 1,000 metrics. You type your own criteria rather than picking from preset ranges. Saved screens are capped by plan, and Ultimate adds 50+ exclusive factors.
There is a limit worth knowing. TIKR's data partners do not allow screener results to be downloaded to Excel on any plan. You can copy and paste up to 500 rows at a time.
Valuation model builder
The model builder is one of TIKR's more distinctive tools. Free users get the Guided Model: three questions about revenue growth, operating margin and exit P/E, which produce a three-year price target and expected return. Paid users get the Advanced Model, with line-item control over revenue, EBIT, margins, share count, dividends and future multiples, plus bull, base and bear cases side by side. Both versions use a P/E-based method only. TIKR says it plans to add other methods. If you value companies on cash flow or assets, you will still need your own spreadsheet.
Fund holdings and ownership
"Track Investing Gurus" shows what large funds hold, grouped by style. TIKR says it goes beyond U.S. 13F filings and also tracks disclosed holdings in markets such as the UK and Japan. The number of funds you can view rises from 40 on Free to 150 on Plus to 10,000+ on Pro and Ultimate. Free and Plus show the top 10 holders of each company. Full ownership data starts at Pro.
Remember what 13F data is. It is filed up to 45 days after each quarter ends and leaves out short positions and many derivatives. It tells you what a fund held, not what it holds today.
Portfolio tracking
TIKR markets a "Monitor Your Portfolio" page, but what it offers is watchlists. Each watchlist has a feed of upcoming events, news, filings and transcripts, plus summary statistics across the stocks in it. TIKR's help centre is direct about the limit: it does not sync brokerage accounts or record position sizes, trade dates or cost basis, and its watchlists "are not designed to track long-term portfolio performance or personal investment returns". If you want to see your returns, you need another tool.
Charting
TIKR charts financial data, ratios, valuation multiples and estimates well. It is not a trading chart platform. On TIKR's own comparison page against TradingView, the row "Technical Analysis Tools" is marked as not offered by TIKR. If you read price action or use indicators, you will need a charting tool alongside it.
Export, API and mobile
- Export: direct Excel export is a Pro benefit. Plus users can copy and paste tables. Some of TIKR's data partners restrict export altogether. TIKR added a Morningstar dataset partly because it allows better export.
- API: none. TIKR does not offer an API or Excel plug-in "given agreements with our various data providers", and it says any attempt to scrape the site or access it programmatically will get the account closed permanently.
- Mobile: there is no dedicated mobile app. TIKR says the terminal and website are responsive and work in a phone or tablet browser.
Who Should Skip TIKR
- You only need a few U.S. names now and then. The free plan may be all you ever need. There is no reason to pay.
- You trade on price. There are no technical analysis tools.
- You research ETFs, funds, bonds or macro. TIKR focuses on common equities.
- You want to track your own returns. Watchlists do not hold positions or cost basis.
- You need data outside the app. There is no API, and Excel export starts at Pro and does not cover screener results.
- You want to test a trading rule against history. TIKR shows history. It does not run rules against it.
TIKR vs Koyfin
Koyfin is the closest comparison, and we reviewed it separately in our Koyfin pricing review. Both are browser-based terminals and both source global equity fundamentals from S&P Capital IQ, so the comparison is about scope, depth and price rather than data accuracy. Koyfin figures below were re-checked on koyfin.com on 21 October 2026.
| TIKR | Koyfin | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | $0, U.S. stocks only | $0, global stocks; consensus estimates for S&P 500 companies only |
| Entry paid plan | Plus: $17.95/mo annual, $24.95 monthly | Plus: $39/mo annual, $49 monthly |
| Top individual plan | Ultimate: $79.95/mo annual, $119.95 monthly | Premium: $79/mo annual, $110 monthly |
| Financial history | Free 3 to 5 years; Plus 10 years; Pro 10 years in tables, 20 in charts; Ultimate 30 years | Free 2 years; 10 years and 40 quarters on every paid plan |
| Forward estimates | 1, 2, 4 or 5 years by plan | Free 1 year; 10 years on paid plans |
| Transcripts | 90 days on Free; 1 year on Plus; 10 years on Pro; full history on Ultimate | 45 days on Free; full history on paid plans |
| Screener | 100,000+ stocks, 1,000+ metrics, common equities only | 100,000+ global equities, 5,900+ criteria; ETFs from Plus |
| Portfolio tracking | Watchlists only, no positions or cost basis | My Portfolio: 1 account on Free, unlimited on paid plans |
| Technical charting | Not offered | 100+ indicators |
| Data sources | S&P Global CapitalIQ, Morningstar, Financial Modeling Prep | S&P Capital IQ fundamentals and estimates, Morningstar fund data, FRED and Trading Economics macro |
| Export and API | Excel export on Pro and Ultimate; no API | Financials, estimates and valuation not downloadable on any plan; no API |
| Mobile app | None, responsive website | iOS and Android |
| Refund | 14 days, new customers | 30 days |
The trade-off is clear. TIKR gives you more history for less money. Its Plus plan costs less than half of Koyfin Plus, and its top plan reaches 30 years of financials, where no Koyfin plan goes beyond ten. Koyfin gives you more breadth: ETFs, mutual funds on advisor plans, macro data, technical charting, real portfolio tracking, longer estimate windows and a mobile app. TIKR's free plan is also narrower, because it stops at the U.S. border.
If your work is reading companies' long-run numbers, TIKR is the better value. If you want one workspace for stocks, funds, macro and your own portfolio, Koyfin is worth the premium.
Is TIKR Worth It?
Free is worth it for anyone researching U.S. stocks. No card, no expiry, and you can see the depth of coverage before you pay. Locked data shows a lock sign, so you know what you are missing.
Plus at $215.40 a year is the right plan for most individual investors. It is the cheapest way we found to get ten years of standardized global financials. The main reasons to move up are longer history, longer estimates and Excel export.
Pro at $455.40 a year is for investors who live in the estimates. Revision trends, management guidance, 10,000+ fund portfolios and Excel export earn the extra $240 a year if you use them every week. If you mostly read statements, stay on Plus.
Ultimate at $959.40 a year is a specialist plan. Thirty years of history and the Catalyst Tracker are real differences, but they serve a narrow kind of research.
Use the 14-day money-back window to test a paid plan. Test the parts you will rely on, not the tour. Check whether the history you need is in table form or chart form on your plan, and whether you can get the numbers out the way your workflow needs.
A Note on Research vs Process
One clarification, since it is our own product. SimpleMarkets is a trading and backtesting dashboard, not a fundamentals terminal, and it is not a TIKR substitute. It has nothing like TIKR's financial history, estimates or global coverage. If your question is what a company is worth, TIKR is built for that.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does TIKR cost?
Free is $0. Plus is $17.95 a month billed annually ($215.40 a year) or $24.95 month to month. Pro is $37.95 a month billed annually ($455.40) or $54.95 monthly. Ultimate is $79.95 a month billed annually ($959.40) or $119.95 monthly. Prices are in U.S. dollars, with sales tax or VAT added where required.
Is TIKR free?
Yes. The free plan is permanent, needs no credit card and covers U.S. stocks. It includes the screener, news, filings, key valuation metrics, one year of estimates, 90 days of transcripts, unlimited watchlists and one saved screen. Global stocks need a paid plan.
Does TIKR have a free trial?
No. TIKR does not offer trials. It offers a 14-day money-back guarantee to new customers on paid plans instead. Its refund article says this applies to new Plus and Pro customers, so check with support before buying Ultimate.
Where does TIKR get its data?
From S&P Global CapitalIQ and Morningstar as primary partners, with Financial Modeling Prep as a secondary dataset. News is from Reuters. Financials are standardized by CapitalIQ for comparability, and estimates are adjusted consensus figures from Wall Street analysts.
How many years of financial data does TIKR have?
It depends on the plan. Free shows three to five years (TIKR's pricing page lists both). Plus shows ten years and 20 quarters. Pro shows ten years and 40 quarters in tables and 20 years in charts. Ultimate shows 30 years and 40 quarters.
Does TIKR have an API?
No. TIKR says its data-provider agreements rule out an API or Excel plug-in, and that scraping or programmatic access gets accounts closed permanently.
Can I export TIKR data to Excel?
On Pro and Ultimate, yes, with some limits set by data partners. On Plus you can copy and paste tables. Screener results cannot be downloaded on any plan, but you can copy up to 500 rows at a time.
Does TIKR have a mobile app?
No. TIKR says its website and terminal are responsive and work in a mobile browser.
Can TIKR track my portfolio?
Not in the sense of returns. TIKR's watchlists track news, events, filings and transcripts for the stocks you follow, but they do not sync brokerage accounts or store position sizes, trade dates or cost basis.
Is TIKR better than Koyfin?
For deep company history at a low price, TIKR wins: Plus costs less than half of Koyfin Plus, and Ultimate reaches 30 years of financials. For breadth, Koyfin wins: ETFs, funds, macro, technical charting, real portfolio tracking and a mobile app. Both draw equity fundamentals from S&P Capital IQ.
The Bottom Line
TIKR is a focused, well-priced fundamentals terminal. It does one job, reading listed companies' numbers over long periods, and it does that job for less than most of its competitors. Plus is the plan most people need, and the free plan is a fair way to find out.
Know the limits before you pay. Free stops at U.S. stocks. There is no API, no technical charting, no portfolio returns and no mobile app. Export depends on your plan and on TIKR's data partners. And TIKR's own pricing page disagrees with itself on a few numbers, so confirm the one you care about inside the app.
